  • Learn about the work at height regulations 2005.
  • Understand ladders, steps, and lightweight staging.
  • Work over or near water.
  • What are system scaffolds and mobile towers?
  • Learn about tubes and fitting scaffolds.
  • Safe working on roofs and at heights.
  • Understand fall-arrest and suspension equipment.
  • Safety with steelwork.

Unit 4: Safe Use of Plant and Equipment

  • Abrasive wheels.

  • Lift operations, equipment, and accessories.
  • Mobile elevated working platform.
  • Understand hoists and hoist towers.

Unit 5: Other Hazardous Activities

  • Trackside safety - railways.
  • Work with or near buried services.

  • Electrical safety on site.

Unit 6: Human Factors

  • Accident prevention and control.
  • Accident reporting and investigation.
  • Behavior-based safety.
  • Understand drugs and alcohol misuse.

Unit 7: Waste Management and The Environment

  • Waste management.

Unit 8: Fire and Flammable Substances

  • Fire prevention and control in the office.
